Development Team Placements

Development teams are formed using an evaluation-over-time process, aligned with Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards. Rather than traditional tryouts, players are evaluated during the spring season through games, training, and placement sessions.

Timeline

April

An Interest Survey will be emailed to families of club players in age groups where Development teams are offered.

April–May
Club players are evaluated during league play and training.

June
Development placement sessions are held as part of the evaluation process.

Early July

Development team placements are announced.

Players Outside the Club

Players who are not currently registered with the club but are interested in joining a Development team may express interest by emailing:

• Player name

• Birth year

• Current team/club (if applicable)

• Primary position

Deadline to express interest: May 30

Players who express interest may be invited to attend placement sessions depending on roster availability.

Not all players who express interest will be invited to placement sessions.
